HOMEWORK:
Daily assignments are always due on the next school day unless stated otherwise. Late work will not be given full credit. Exception: a note from parent or guardian explaining unusual circumstances. (Sports practice is not an unusual circumstance.) Projects will be marked one full grade lower for each day they are late.

ABSENCES:
It is the student’s responsibility to see the teacher for individual help and accurate information about what s/he needs to do to catch up. If a student is absent, s/he has one week to complete the work that was missed when s/he was sick; it is, however, best to make up work as soon as possible to avoid getting behind!! Homework or classwork (including tests or quizzes) not made up within one week will not receive credit of any kind.
Although discouraged, family trips are sometimes unavoidable. It is the student’s responsibility to see the teacher one week prior to leaving to get an assignment contract. Work is due the day the student returns. **Please contact the office if your child will be absent for four or more days.
Remember, all of the above policies apply to every sixth-grader in their math and humanities classes!
